This workshop explores the gender-specific challenges women face in international trade, drawing on both policy and practical perspectives. As gender inclusion becomes increasingly important worldwide, the session aims to raise awareness and equip participants with actionable insights.
Key Objectives
- Highlight structural and non-structural barriers faced by women in trade and global value chains.
- Discuss how gender inequalities shape trade policy, market access, and entrepreneurship.
- Identify practical policy measures and institutional support that can reduce these barriers.
- Encourage participants to reflect on applying these insights in their own contexts.

The Brands and Branding Research Bootcamp, organised by Marketing, Strategy and Policy Research Group, brings together scholars associated with the field. The speakers will introduce participants to current research in the subject area and guide them through critical yet related issues with insightful discussions. Participants will be provided with direction and guidance from these scholars in a very informal setting. The interactions will help participants explore opportunities and challenges of publishing in good journals with mentoring opportunities.
